Tribute to Sunsets: I am a complete night owl, so I have no way to prove that the sun actually rises. I do however, GREATLY enjoy a beautiful Sunset. Here are a few that I have captured in my travels. All of these pics were captured with my very inexpensive Kodak DC20 digital camera. My next camera on the "horizon" is in their 200 series! Kodak, send me one! Check out the very cool 8 photo panoramic sunset I took during the last days of 1998! Enjoy the photos, they are well worth the time it takes to load them! A "reverse" sunset is captured in the New York City steel in April 1997. Our heart goes out to those injured in the Sept 11th 2001 World Trade Center tragedy.
The Statue of Liberty salutes the end of a day in April 1997.
Sanibel Island Florida August 1998 with a cool breeze off the Gulf.
Miami South Beach was pretty deserted in August of 1998. Boy was it hot.
Dallas is flat as a pancake as proved by this October 1998 shot from my rooftop. Don't worry mom, I'm careful.
You can almost hear the wind blowing through the leaves in this photo from Palm Springs California in October 1998. The top of the Las Vegas Stratosphere is a little closer to heaven in November 1998. If a mountain gets in the way of a sunset, just move skyward.
Blondes really do have more fun, especially in a convertible at a Las Vegas intersection in November 1998. :-)
My rooftop beckons again for a Dallas sunset in the last few days of 1998. Click here for a panoramic photo of 8 shots including this one that have been assembled as one! Something in life that gives me a rush is chasing sunsets as they fall to the West. Be it on an airplane, or my mountain bike I've chased the sun for those extra minutes of light. I'll do my best to capture some of those shots and put them online. It's my way of extending the day.
